The most-hyped four-wheeler and three-cylinder 624-cc petrol engine car will give mileage of 22 Kilo meter per litre (kmpl) to 26 kmpl on highway and it has a 33 brake horse power (bhp) of power. Maximum speed of Nano will be 90 Km/hour.

Nano have a 30-litre fuel tank, four-speed manual gearshift, Front disk and rear drum brakes.

It will come with air conditioning system in luxury models and without air conditioner in standard model. Nano have no power steering. Its power steering is automatic, so it will be easy to drive.

The Rs one-lakh stylish car 'Nano' is expected to hit the roads in September, 2008.

Tata Motors ltd. launched its first car only 10 years ago; earlier they were in the business of truck manufacturing.

Tata Motors' drive to produce a cheap, no-nonsense, small car was born from close observation of the local market where millions often carry families of four, plus baggage, on motorbikes and scooters.
